Raised in the Colorado moutains, Zane wears shorts and Chacos even in midst of the winter. He enjoys skiing powder, “wander” hiking, “creative” camping and is always up for an adventure. With a masters in counseling from Naropa University, Zane has a passion for LGBTQ communities and sexual health, and believes that ELEMENT is a perfect avenue to help create change in the world.

Grant grew up in Colorado, and attended the University of Colorado Boulder where he was engaged in the GSA and lead LGBT support groups. When not at work, he is working on a creative project, whether being part of a video production team or making clothes. Grant joined The Denver ELEMENT team because of his passion for LGBTQ health and community building.

A Colorado native, Christopher attends Metropolitan State University earning his bachelor's degree in human services. When not at our office or studying you might find him in a salon cutting hair—he’s been a cosmetologist for 13 years. One thing about Christopher is he always has a smile on his face! He joined the Denver ELEMENT team as a recovery coach and now specializes in case management in the LGBTQ community.

Joe was raised in the plains of Nebraska, where he quietly bided his time until he could stage his escape out into the real world. Being from the Midwest, Joe would describe himself, as warm, approachable, and down to earth. He has his Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University, and one day hopes to get his PHD in Positive Psychology. Until then you can find him wrestling with his dog and watching reruns of Avatar the Last Air Bender or Charmed.

Born outside of San Francisco, CA, Justin grew up by the beach but now calls the Mile High city home. He has spent his adult life in Denver, and is currently finishing his masters in multicultural clinical mental health counseling at University of Colorado Denver. Justin is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ folks, and is especially interested in the intersections of multiple marginalized identities. He enjoys re-reading Harry Potter books, binge watching new Netflix series and cooking for friends.

A well-traveled Denver native and 30 year HIV long-term survivor, Robert has more than 20 years of HIV/AIDS experience in non-profit organizations, government programs, clinical trials and as a volunteer. Away from work, Robert enjoys photography and painting. He joined The Denver Element team to provide his life experience and Ryan White system of care knowledge and expertise.

Dan is a Colorado native raised in southern Denver and a graduate of University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelors in Sociology. In his spare time Dan enjoys the gym and mountainous activities including skiing and camping. Travel and different cultures have always been a big passion of his as well. He joined Element because he wants to make a difference by helping this community grow and become more cohesive.

Nate grew up in Colorado, and also lived in New York City for 8 years. He is currently working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a concentration in Addiction Studies at Metro State University. In his free time he enjoys going to see live music, and loves the theater. He is passionate about working with the LGBTQ Community.

Heather is born and raised in Denver and received her undergraduate degree in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Heather decided to pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Colorado Denver because she finds more meaning and fulfillment in working with people. In her free time, Heather has fun skiing, doing yoga, and attempting to learn the ukulele. She also has a weakness for fiery hot Cheetos.

Andrew is passionate about with LGBTQIA+ mental health care, with a special interest in working with transgender and non-binary communities.
